Cigars For Warriors
Hey Everybody! One cigar related charities out there is Cigars for Warriors.
If you have every been or no someone who is deployed, a cigar comes in handy at times. Storm Bowen was wounded in combat in 2007, and he spent a long time in the hospital. And during that time he discovered the simple pleasure of smoking a cigar. At that point Cigars for Warriors was born.
Cigars for Warriors is a nonprofit charity whose sole mission is to send premium cigars and accessories to the men and women of the U.S. military serving in combat zones, no matter where they are. Requests are made online, and each package comes with cigars, cutters, and literature.
The mission statement from their website:
"Our top priority is collecting then dispersing premium cigars and accessories to American Service Men and Women serving in combat zones (Air, Land and Sea).
Our second priority is American Service Men and Women on long term deployments OCONUS in 3rd world environments and other appropriate Areas of Operations to be dealt with on a case by case basis.
It is our way to honor, show respect and thank those putting it all on the line for us back home. We have received requests from many soldiers who have no one here in the U.S. to send care packages to them, and would otherwise receive nothing." - cigarsforwarriors.org
