Obsidian Robusto

Hello Everybody, Today's review is Obsidian Robusto The 5"x50 Robusto employs a dark, oily Brazilian Habano ligero wrapper overtop a bold blend of Cuban-seed long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican, secured inside a spicy Criollo ’98 binder. The result is a densely rich and chewy smoke loaded with complex notes of espresso, pepper, earth, toast, and cream. Full-bodied, but extremely smooth and balanced, Obsidian is thoroughly satisfying. Origin : Dominican Republic Wrapper : Brazilian Habano Filler : Nicaraguan, Dominican Binder : Criollo '98 Hand-Made Size: 5.5 x 54 Cost: $5.00 Time to Smoke: 90 mins Construction: Small Veins, tight but visible seams, fairly rugged foot most likely a dull cutting station. Mild pepper and oily tobacco aroma. Firm texture and evenly oily toothness.
Pre-Light: Draw is clean, smooth and has notes of hay, tobacco, and pepper.
1/3: Great smoke output with medium to full body of flavors. Chewy finish, draw is on the loose side, Ash holds for about 1 inch before falling off. Creamy flavor, caramel not sweet side but present, earth, tobacco hay. The smoke is very aromatic.
2/3: 45 mins in, no touch ups needed and keeping a good burn. The flavor has not changed except now a noticeable leather flavor.
3/3: 1 hour and 5 mins in and still the construction is holding up. No changes in flavor, but the cigar strength is becoming more full. While this cigar isn’t very complex, It is a nice cigar for the price.
