Gran Habano 3 Siglos Robusto
Hello Everybody, Today's review is Gran Habano 3 Siglos Robusto
Gran Habano’s 3 Siglos blend is gorgeous....its cedary pre-light aroma and its flawless wrapper are mesmerizing. But wait until you toast the foot: layers of rich, smooth flavors coat the palate while dashes of pepper finish each puff. A medium to full-bodied, 92-rated gem of a smoke.
Hand-Made
Origin : Honduras
Wrapper : Nicaraguan Shade Grown
Filler : Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, Colombian
Binder : Nicaraguan
Size: 5 x 52
Cost: $4.00
Time to Smoke: 75 mins
Construction: Dark Chocolate wrapper, firm in the hand. Seams are pretty tight; there are a few large veins.
Pre-Light: Draw is clean, the smell is kinda like you are in a cigar store (cedar, earthiness, hay)
1/3: Very full body flavor off the bat, lot of pepper and tobacco. Quite a punch right off, not hot and spicy, just pepper. Very smooth, flavors take off quickly. Draw is loose but just right in the middle.
2/3: Burn is not perfect, the big veins might be causing it. Flavor no change deep tobacco and pepper flavor. Medium to Full body. I wish there was more than the two flavors.
3/3: The big veins are not just in wrapper but also in the filler. Flavors slightly changed, a little coffee, oily sweetness. Pepper is calming down, could be a better finish.
The only issue is the veins being large, the flavors are not blended together well. It may need a few more years aging.
